I draw inspiration from the landscapes of the Central West of New South Wales. While living in the region I have observed how this landscape changes so radically between seasons and how organic and spontaneous the response to drought, flood, frost and fire it is! Man tries to control and impress upon this land an imprint of his desire and yet for all the building of tree lines, fences, ploughing and dams he/she creates the land has its own overriding will; ever moving and changing.

"A most impressive body of work" - sculptor, Ron Robertson Swan

"I would recommend prospective purchasers have a serious look at these works, for pleasing forms and contrasts emerge over time." - Director Orange Regional Gallery, Alan Sisley

"Inspiration for my paintings is drawn from the shapes, space and movement I observe around me. As the landscape moves and changes so too will my response and the work will continue to generate and evolve on this theme." - artist, Ruth Stone
